Returns Policy and Process

2nd Protector's goal is to make purchasing and returning products as simple as possible. If you buy a product from 2nd Protector and decide you don't need it, don't want it, or just don't like it, we'll work with you on a 1:1 basis to make it right.

We require proof of purchase to honor all refunds. Only the original account or purchaser may return an item. Please include your proof of purchase with the products you wish to return in their original packaging if possible. Any items returned within 15 days of delivery are entitled to a refund to the original method of payment or identical exchange. If the original method of payment is cash, check or credit card that has expired, a 2nd Protector gift card will be issued. Any items returned after 45 days of delivery will be issued store credit in the form of a 2nd Protector Gift Card.

Any returns received that do not qualify for refund will be returned to the customer at their expense. This includes, but not limited to, items that are non-returnable, misused, lacking proof of purchase, or not purchased from 2nd Protector. In addition, any products that are subject to pending or implemented restrictions due to Federal, State, or Local regulation/legislation are not eligible for return. 2nd Protector inspects all returned products and reserve the right to decline returns or exchanges. Other restrictions may apply.

How To Return An Item

Our return process is simple, fast, and completely free to our customers! Please use one of the following options to get started and to ensure the quickest turnaround. Returns received by methods outside of this process, may experience additional processing delays.

What products are NOT eligible to be returned?
Due to regulations and safety consideration, ammunition, gun powder, primers, most liquids, and other Limited Quantity (LQ) and Hazardous items are not returnable. Firearm and FFL purchases carry a Manufacturer's warranty and any product issues should be submitted to the manufacturer first. 80% frames and receivers cannot be returned once the receiver or frame is modified in any way. Any products that are subject to pending or implemented restrictions due to Federal, State, or Local regulation/legislation are not eligible for return. All other products Guaranteed. Forever.® with proof of purchase. No authorization number, justification or hassles.

How long do I have to return an item?
Anytime. Any items returned after 15 days of delivery will be issued store credit in the form of a 2nd Protector Gift Card.

When can I expect my refund?
Refunds generally take 10-20 business days to process once received into our return area.

How can I receive a refund for my order?

What if I paid with a 2nd Protector gift card?
Your refund will be sent to you in the form of a new 2nd Protector Gift Card.

I received the item as a gift. How can I receive a refund?
Refunds require proof of purchase: we would need the account information of the person who purchased the item in order to process a refund.

Can items I purchased online be returned to the Retail Store?
Yes, items purchased online can be returned to the Retail Store, please bring the invoice when returning any item. Your return will be processed the next business day and may take 7-10 days to show on your credit card account.

Return of Firearm (FFL/NFA) Purchases

Firearm Sales (NEW)
All sales of firearms and serialized items are FINAL and returns, refunds, or exchanges are NOT ACCEPTED. Once a firearm is transferred to a customer's name, 2nd Protector will not accept a return or exchange under any circumstance.

Firearm Defects (NEW)
If a defect is discovered by the customer after shipment and transfer of ownership, the customer must contact the manufacturer directly for replacement or repair. It is the customer's responsibility to fully inspect the firearm/serialized item at their selected FFL PRIOR to accepting it into their possession. Please take your time to inspect all firearms/serialized items thoroughly BEFORE proceeding with the transfer. Once a firearm/serialized item is transferred to you it is considered used, even if unfired.

Customer Service
If an incorrect web description or other quality issues are discovered by the customer upon inspection of the firearms/serialized items at their selected FFL PRIOR to executing the transfer, please contact 2nd Protector Customer Service orders@2ndprotector.com to arrange for a return label and initiate a refund or item exchange.

Warranty
All new firearms are shipped in the original manufacturer's box, with applicable warranty, magazine(s), and accessories. By purchasing a firearm, you agree that upon discovering a defect in your transferred firearm, you will work with the manufacturer for replacement or repair per their warranty policy. Contact the original manufacturer for warranty information.

FFL Dealer Verification
It is the responsibility of the customer to validate that the selected FFL is in business, will perform the required background check, and will legally transfer the firearm to the customer. A restocking fee of $50.00 per order and applicable shipping cost will be charged for all orders refused or not accepted by the transferring dealer and returned to (2nd Protector, Crow Shooting Supply) for any reason. If you participated in our Featured Dealer program and the item is returned to us, contact 2nd Protector Customer Service at orders@2ndprotector.com for alternative solutions.

Shipping
Shipments cannot be rerouted to different addresses after they ship. Shipments must be delivered to the shipping address on the order, or it will be returned. Carriers will make three attempts to deliver the package before returning to sender. Restocking and shipping fees will be applied to any returned shipments.

Regulations
By ordering a firearm or serialized item, you certify that you are the actual transferee/buyer of the item, are of legal age, and satisfy all federal, state, and local requirements. All firearms and serialized items are sold and shipped in accordance with existing federal, state, and local laws. Under U.S. Federal Law, you must be 18 years of age or older to purchase rifles and shotguns, and at least 21 years of age to purchase handguns and receivers. State age requirements may differ. While we strive to provide accurate and up to date information, laws are subject to change.

It is the dealer, the retailer, and your responsibility to fully understand the laws in your area. Please check your local and state regulations before ordering.

If the carrier is unable to deliver the package to the requested address,  the package may be sent back to 2nd Protector. Once 2nd Protector receives the package, a return will be processed. Original shipping charges and applicable fees will not be refunded. If the order is still needed, a new order must be submitted, and shipping charges or any applicable fees will be applied.
